Our Programs

With help from our board and volunteers, we are continually dreaming up new programming for the ranch. Below are a few samples of programs we have available. If you have ideas or a special request for your child, please contact Anita.

One-to-One

Mentorship Program

Pairing a child (ages 5-18) with a trained mentor and horse, the child will be encouraged to grow and form lasting relationships and personal life skills such as confidence, trust and friendship.

Individual Progams

Forever Families

Foster Family Program

Forever Families was created in 2021 in partnership with Feed the Fish (Dent, Mn) and Firefly Fields Youth Ranch (Vergas, Mn). The program is designed to bring area foster families together, building relationships and sharing experiences. Once a month during the summer, at alternating locations, Forever Families meets for a meal, crafts and time with the animals.

Internships

Summer Interns

The ranch relies on volunteers year-round, but summertime offers the opportunity for more in-depth internships in caring for horses, completing ranch projects or working on fundraising opportunities.

All Together

Group Sessions

When our schedule allows and we have volunteer staff available, HHHR will schedule group sessions. Attendees can spend a day at the ranch working with horses, doing ranch chores, gardening, making crafts, playing games and learning life skills.
