Meet Our Animals
We have been blessed with the ability to provide homes for many animals on the ranch. These gentle souls help us to live out our mission. While horses are the foundation of our mission, our programs rely on a variety of ranch work. Farm animals provide the children participating with opportunity to learn about animal care and ranch economics.
Little Bit
Little Bit was one of our first horses, joining us in the fall of 2016. A 15 year old AQHA Dun mare with very good ground manners, Little Bit has been used in our program since she arrived. She's a good sport with the kids and loves carrots and treats.
Bingo
Bingo was donated to HHHR in the fall of 2022. He will be ready to begin work with kids this upcoming summer.
Mko
This is Mko (mow ko). He is a one year miniature pony that was given to us. He is getting a lot of one on one training.
Casper
Casper arrived to us in December 2020 with his friends Roy (mule) and Peanut (pony). He had been living at a farm an hour away. One of his owners had passed away so family and friends decided he should move to our ranch. He is around 20 years old and blind but is a very good protector to Roy the mule.
Other Critters
HHHR features a bunny home and we hope to have some residents again soon. We also hope to welcome home a barn owl who is willing to help us out around the ranch with gophers and field mice.
